I have a can of Spring Valley Vanilla Flavored Soy Protein. Frankly, I have yet to fnd anything I can mix it into that doesn’t have a horrendous consistency. I would like to use it, but prefer no to gag on every bite of cereal (i have premixed it into a cup of skim milk then poured over cereal). I don’t think it is OK to heat it. I’ve tried in coffee with the same results. I just cant seem to get it to blend well enough to get rid of that powdery yech!

I’m looking for a low calorie way to do this. I use a hand blender designed for making shakes.
I’m not a vegetarian. I do not want to change the powder, just make what I have edible
It’s not for soy, but for the protein and the amino acids.

I had a fiasco today. My soy chai spilled all over me going through my sweater, my shirt and through a layer of skin on my side. I ran to the bathroom to wash it off and change shirts. But it’s not until now that I realize that my quite expensive suede boots are damaged! They have splatters on them but totally dry. Is there a home remedy for this? Do I HAVE to take it to a drycleaners?

Back when I was a meat-eater, it was easy to tell when lunch meat was old: it just becomes smelly and grows mold (eugh).

Now I’m finding it hard to determine whether these soy/veggie lunch meats are rotten b/c they rarely turn colors and the smell when it is a week old is pretty close to the smell from when I first purchased it.

The brands I buy are Yves, and Smart Deli. Any tips?

Because I do not get the off brand that often (I am spoiled on Silk), I accidentally picked up Original. I cannot stand the taste of Silk’s Original, and the off brand is even worse. I drink it more than I use it on cereal, since I rarely eat cereal. But I will have to try some hot on my oatmeal tomorrow morning.
Thank you. I was thinking about adding vanilla extract, but I was not sure if it would taste good. Did not think to add Splenda as well. I will give that a try.
Would I be able to use soy milk in instant mashed potatoes?
